Anderton Boat Lift

55 Design's largest single project to date was the creation of a new exhibition for the Anderton Boat Lift Operations Centre. This involved

• Research to inform the development of the interpretive storyline

• Removal of old exhibition

• Development of the outline designs to detailed design stage

• Commissioning, building, fitting out, implementing and installing the new exhibition

 

Our approach was design led – guided by the existing research, interpretive objectives and themes – and involved: 

• Research, storyline development and scriptwriting

• Creation and photo-sourcing of six illustrative characters

• Boat Lift Interactive and off-the-shelf children’s construction kits

• Detailed designs and specifications for all interpretive media

• Audio-visual presentation

• External grounds exhibition, continuing visitor experience outside

• All marketing and promotional literature
